Esnack (the Nepali pronounciation of 'snack')

Also known as

  • Appetizers
  • Snacks
  • Hor'dourves

In Nepali, sittan is usully something that is eaten with alcohol as snacks. However, intellectuals have been slamming their heads to decide whether it could be used to refer to 'appetizers'. Even after hours of discussions, it is yet to be determined whether it can be used as a substitute for 'appetizers'. This historic controversy can only be ended if someone can offer an exact term for 'appetizer' in Nepali or suggest a better term :) Until then.........
